東京が江戸と呼ばれていたころ、大人も子供も夢中になって凧揚げを楽しみ、正月の江戸の空には多くの凧が揚がりました。あまりの熱中ぶりに、幕府より『凧揚げ禁止令』が出されたほどだったそうです。昭和の時代まで、正月の男の子の遊びと言えば『凧揚げ』『独楽回し』でしたが、ビルが立ち並び、凧揚げのできる空き地も姿を消し、東京で凧揚げが難しくなった現在、凧は揚げるより、飾る方が多くなりました。しかし、凧は揚がってこそ『凧』です。当ショップでお作りする凧は、もちろん揚がります。お届けする前にだいたい糸目合わせをしてありますが、風によっては微調節が必要です。

凧は空高く揚がることから、古くから『福を招き、運を開く』と言われ縁起の良いものとして、庶民に親しまれてきました。

Until the Showa period, boys games during New Year season were "flying kites'' and "spinning tops.'' However, as buildings lined up so much and there is less space for kite flying in Tokyo., kite flying became difficult in Tokyo. It is now more often decorated than fried. However, a kite is only a kite if it is flown. Of course, the kites we make in our shop can be flown. The threads are roughly aligned before being delivered, but depending on the wind, slight adjustments may be necessary.

Since kites fly high in the sky, they have been popular with the common people since ancient times as being said to bring good fortune and good luck.
